Whew! I'm so glad to see that other people are done! I am almost done, but I didn't want to send really early if no one else was ready to send yet. I was kind of worried that maybe I should have done more.

Is anyone sending anything else besides just the one pair of earrings? I was going to send like something else small but I don't want people to feel bad if no one else is doing it.

I'm worrying about the same stuff.  I feel pretty good about the earrings I made, but I'm not sure whether or not to send any extras.  I usually do but with a swap like this I'm not really sure if that's something people do or not.

Last time I did this swap (round1) a lot of people sent two pairs of earrings instead of just one. I think sending an extra pair or any small "extra" with your package is fine, as long as no one expects extras in return, because you might not get any. I know some people think differently though, because if you send extras sometimes it makes your partner feel like they have to send extras even if they didn't want to.

That was kind of what I was thinking.  I don't mind if I don't get any extras, I just don't want to make anyone feel bad or like they need to do something they don't want to do.  I will probably include something little in each of my partners packages.

i had the urge to send some extras, because i was worried about the stuff i was sending. i knew it was the best i could make, but i find myself doubting whether or not my partners will like them and "maybe i should just send a little something to make up for it, just in case." i think it just depends on communicating with your partners. am i correct to say just don't stress over it too much?

Here is how I feel about extras:
I like them. I like to give them and I like to get them. However, as previously stated, if you give extras you can not expect to receive extras. You are encouraged to communicate with your partner though. You both might find that you like to do the same craft; you might find that you want to swap XXX as well.
They can be a fun additive to a package. I feel that they should be given and received with grace and without any feelings of guilt or regret.

Well said.  This is exciting for me-- I am planning on sending 'extras' with the packages I send out.  I am glad this topic came up because I was also wondering...  I haven't started yet, but plan on spending a whole day in 'earringland'   Grin

I agree about the extras. I usually send them because I recieved extras in my first swap and had no clue that many people send them and I felt sooooo bad. Now if I see something cute and relatively cheap or something that I could make easily I add them in, if I get nothing back oh well.

I was going to send some cute beads/charms as extras with this one.

I haven't even started yet, but I ordered some things!

I'm half the way through with all three pairs, I just need to get some hardware at the craftstore, where I think I'll go on Monday.
