Okay, I charted it, and this is what i came up with.
Keep the star blocks exactly where they already are.
If we look at the blocks like a spreadsheet 1-5 for the columns across the top, and A-G for the rows along the side. The asterisks will be the star blocks, and the x's will be the hourglass blocks. Then on the right of the chart, L being light, P being Pink. So the A line would be Pink on top, light on the bottom of the first hourglass block. And line B would be pink on the left, light on the right of the first block, you get the idea. Just a suggestion and I hope this helps you out!
      1    2   3   4   5
A    *    X   *   X  *        P/L    L/P
B    X    *   X   *  X        P|L    L|P   P|L
C    *   X    *   X  *        L/P    P/L
D    X   *    X   *  X        L|P    P|L   L|P
E    *   X    *   X  *        P/L     L/P
F    X   *    X   *  X        P|L    L|P    P|L
G   *    X    *   X  *        L/P    P/L

Thanks, guys!

I definitely did not have notifications up, so I didn't know that you guys were still giving me awesome clues.  I'm going to start working on it again when I go home for break.

Guardie for life.

I am really interested in doing a personal swap, especially for greener things like reusable lady items, wool dryer balls, or other such things.  I can knit, sew, draw, and put things together in pretty neat ways.  Please PM me if you're interested.
