Did i mention... i LOVE whimsies Grin

whimsies make the world go 'round.

I've always loved whimsies; but now that I've participated in my first whimsies swap, I'm hooked!  I catch myself scouring the room/yard/store/purse/etc.... for whimsies everywhere I go now.

Australian made and owned.

Can I ask a discussion question that may send people into a rage? Tongue

What do you feel about (real) fur?

I'm not a supporter of fur coats or anything, but a few months back I purchased some fox tails from England and 100% freaked my housemate out. She was so disgusted she nearly threw up.

Basically I bought them for a costume (well, two costumes), and I was originally looking for real-looking faux-fur tails when I came across these.
The seller holds to the fact that they only sell tails collected from hunters in areas that are so fox-ridden they're pests. So, the foxes aren't killed to harvest the fur. (And their predominant item of sale is actually fox fur fly-fishing baits, not the sale of tails or fur pieces).
It took me about two weeks to decide whether or not to buy them, because I'm fairly avidly against the fur trade, but when I didn't come across any alternative (crappy or fantastic), and given the parameters that the seller listed, I decided to go for it.

Keep smiling - It makes people wonder what you're up to.

Looking for Australian personal swaps! [For now. I'll branch overseas when I can afford it!]

Well, you did ask..... it makes me sad.  Even when it can be justified because an animal has become "a pest" in an area, it still seems sad to me to use their fur for things like that.  That said; I'm just saying I couldn't use it, if it doesn't bother you to use it, it's really no ones business.  I mean, you didn't go out and hunt the poor little fox down to make a costume out of him.

I don't have a problem with it. I have a rabbit and I've had two rabbit pelts.

Not to seem like an idiot, but whats a whimsy?

I'm terrible with definitions.... but little whimsical things. Like random trinkets, little toys, beads, buttons etc.

I am so glad you asked about whimsies!  I had no idea what they were, but so many people seem so excited by them around here...

In other news, I have 1/2 finished the __________. and only have a little bit left on the ___________! yes!

I wear prescription glasses and sunglasses, and don't need anything for them.  I don't really wear arm warmers...wrist warmers/fingerless gloves might be ok, but not super long.  And I have tiny hands (like children's size large gloves tiny).  And I don't have a strong opinion one way or the other on real fur, but I don't actually like the look of fur (real or faux).

I don't need friends, I have teddy bears!!!

I don't mind fake fur but real fur creeps me out a little, I love the feel of fur, which is why I have a chinchilla but I can bring myself to wear it
