These cost nothing to make, look cute hanging around for Valentines day, and are a great way to use up old magazines.

Simply cut a bunch of smaller and larger hearts from pink, red, and purple magazine pages. Glue a small heart inside a big heart, add construction paper backing, and then sew them all together in a long string using clear thread.

these are gorgeous. I am not getting a valentine this year and was planning on ignoring it completely, but your post has changed my mind, I think I should put hearts up everywhere, be my own valentine
