Introducing Toastee the Marshmallow:

I made him in September in preparation for my daughter's Christmas stocking, then I lost the pattern. As I was cleaning out my shelves and cabinets a few days ago, I stumbled across the pattern!

Toastee was my first exploration into making legs with feet. The technique I used to create his legs is the technique that I tweaked and adjusted to make Elyse's legs.

Toastee has a very simple face, which sort of makes me cringe.  Wink I plan on remaking him with a slightly different face, probably safety eyes and embroidery with floss instead of yarn. Right now his face is just felt and yarn embroidered cheeks.

I particularly like him when he's sitting. I remember having a giraffe doll who sat like this when I was little, so that was my inspiration for making Toastee sit with his legs so wide and floppy.

My daughter definitely liked him when she got her stocking. She is a big fan of hot cocoa, so her stocking included a mug, lots of different flavors of hot cocoa, marshmallows, chocolate chips, a spoon with marshmallow cream on it, and Toastee.  Grin

Totally cute! I'm a sucker for long floppy legs as well. Tasty colors, too, haha!  Grin

So cute!  I love the long floppy legs too.  The only thing that could make this cuter would be a graham cracker hat  Smiley
