sweet geebuz..... if i wasn't such a good mama, i woulda drop kicked that little black freak across the room.  my boy and i came home from grocery shopping to find she had, once again, jumped into my huge flat of individualy peat potted tomater and cilatro seedling/plants..... AND TORE THEM ALL THE F*&% UP!!!!  i spent all night fixing them when she destroyed them before.... and now she's done it a second time.... and its looking like it'll be serious brain surgery to unearth what seedlings survived her plundering.  i'm thinking maybe she's ultra sensitive to roma plants cuz i now remember her going to town trying to dig up my fully grown plants two summers ago.  or perhaps this diggin cat is just desperate to get outside and took my temporarily indoors veggie garden as a gift for her to have her way with.  here's a picture of how it looked at first... the one she destroyed is the big long flat on the left

My iguana ate all my seedlings once. The things we put up with from the animals we love.  Undecided

My cat did the same thing last spring.  Although, I only had flowers planted, so I think my cat did it just to play.  I repotted them and had them sitting on one of my dining room chairs and then my husband knocked over the chair.  At that point I just gave up.

HAha my cat is evil too. There are certain plants she is extremely attracted to. I once had this beautiful sensitive plant that she tore to shreds. My ivy vine was also destroyed as well as a few tropical trees. So I bought her some cat grass and planted it in a nice pot (it looks pretty interesting really) and let her know she could eat that one. Ever since then she hasn't touched any of my plants because she knows she has her own.

man, she's lucky she's so cute. *sigh*  haha.  we had a little heart to heart and we agreed that on saturday, we'd have some mom and girlie time in the back yard.  we moved to green bay a year ago this week and i've been too scared to let her out yet.  she's not always the sharpest knife in the drawer and i worry about her gettin lost.  so i'll take her out for a while so she can dig to her hearts content.  the rescue mission is complete.  out of the whole flat, i rescued maybe 12.  most broken and bent.... then the biggest surprise was hiding underneath a pile of broken peat pots.  she left mama a 'gift'.  but its hard to be mad when she's purring and rubbing on my ankles contentedly.  i need a dog!!!!!!!!! she's so weird.  she compulsively drags socks and fabric and tissue paper into her litter box.  and she covers all her food and water bowls with socks or scraps from the recycling bin so the other mean cat can't eat it.  but then she doesn't remember how to pull it back off.

my cat does that crap with his litter box too!  He drags lots of things in there, same with around his food and water.  If he puts things in his litter box, he usually ends up pooping in the tub.  *le sigh*  Maybe he'll out grow it? haha, I'm hopeful, he's not even 7 months yet, but he really is lucky he's so damn cute.

My cat sort of does that. She has a toy box... well a toy tent where I keep all of her toys. And when I leave the house I return to see her food and water dishes full of her toys pilled over each other. She also likes to drag clothing around and lay on it while I'm gone. She's lucky she is cute.

Sorry.. just had to post some pictures. She is going to be 2 years old in August.

i used to convince folks that i'd trained her to wipe her tush when they'd see kleenex in her box.

(((((((yer calico girl)))))))) i miss my old roomate's calico.  they give the best kisses.  when i'd lay in the lawn with my dreads splayed out, she would dig her claws into my roots and pull herself from one side to the other.  such a talented head massager.

You could safely plant herbs in small pots in one of those metal three-tier hanging baskets. Just buy cheapie pots that fit into the baskets and hang it from a wall that they couldn't climb.
