I want to do some major pampering between now and my wedding and get my hair in good shape, but I'm not really a "go to the salon" type of person. I'm pretty DIY in all aspects. So I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of good hair treatment recipes? Or perhaps suggest some ingredients that I could put into my own for hair help?

My main issue is that my hair has become much thinner over the past few years. I'm in my early 20's and I'm thinning majorly on the top because of some medical issues that I have... and I really don't want that to show in my wedding photos. I'm master of comb-overs and I'm going to use my curls to their most with my wedding hair-do but I still want any extra boost that I can get.

Are there any EOs that are particularly good to stimulate hair growth, perhaps?

Not that I know of, hopefully someone else can offer some more help!

However have you looked into taking vitamins? I confess to still taking my pre-natal vitamins because they make my hair look great, lol. B-complex, beta-carotine, zinc and C are great!

For shine booster I am still a fan of the tired and true lemon juice & mayonnaise treatment.

*blush* I didn't even think of the lemon juice and mayo so that's really helpful!

I take a ton of vitamins but I've been looking into stuff specifically for hair growth, I'm hoping if I stimulate from inside and outside it will actually do some good. Hehe.

Doing some research I found this link that suggests ways to make scalp massage oils:

Basically it suggests some EOs, how to mix them with sweet almond oil and away you go! HTH!

Thank you, Nymeria! That's great; I already have lavender EO and sweet almond oil, just need to pick up some rosemary EO and I'll be set. I'm excited to try that!
