So I did Carol, Max, and then KW, and really the guy that I was looking forward to the most was Douglas.  While the book's Carol and the movie's Carol look very similar, as do Max and KW, the Douglas in the book and the Douglas (or Emil) in the movie really don't look much alike.  Different colors, different body shape, etc.  BUT to keep it classic, I've been trying to mostly follow the book.  So this is how Douglas turned out.  Making his feathers on his head and his booty were the biggest pain!  I mean they aren't hard to make, but trying to get a 3-d look from the flat drawings was kind of tricky!  I'm still finishing up the pattern because I have no photos of him that I can use besides this one.  I decided to take pictures without much daylight left so not many came out well.  I'll have to wait til tomorrow! Hope you all like him!  I love him! :-D

and here's his friends!

I'm amazed how well you can make up these patterns simply from looking at a drawing.
I loved making Max (actually 2 of them) from your pattern, it was really well written
and they came out looking exactly the same as the pattern picture.
Douglas is gorgeous!!
