i am in awe! how did u get it the frame to curve on an inwards angle? ( if i explaind that right) its my DP on msn right now!

maehem: i love the webby heart pendent thing!!

haha....that curve was actually an accident. It was flat, lying on that sheet on the ground, and we went to my fiancee's parents' for dinner and then home straight to bed...in the morning it was dry and had curved in the process. I was really pissed, but then decided it looked cool, so it's okay. Smiley

I need to learn to do that tissue paper-mache! Another thing on the list... (and yes, I literally have a list on my comp)

my list is in my head...and is mainly composed of knit/crochet and polymer clay

if you guys like, I can probably come up with some sort of tute...but really it was just a trial and error kind of thing. i would say you are only really limited by whether or not you have the sculpting ability (and also it can't be too 3D unless you work in layers and allow them to dry in between- otherwise it warps like no other. i had to break the cameo's neck so make her sit flat, and then patch it with paper mache.)

Here are the slightly rubbish iphone pictures of the seriously awesome, spoiler-iffic items i received from Loukr yesterday  Cheesy

first up, the extras- one cute, one creepy!

the closest thing that Loukr could find to a muffin, without sending me a muffin  Cheesy it's a little washcloth wrapped around a raspberry lip gloss

and an exact replica of the badge worn by nurses at the Cane Hill asylum- i'm going to have to incorporate this into a costume sometime, although i promise i'll take very good care of it, apparently they're quite rare  Cool

a gorgeous fabric rose corsage with a vintage doily leaf and button centre- this is already pinned carefully to my brown leather satchel and it's gotten compliments from all the other girls in the asylum  Tongue

the photo really doesn't do this item justice- it's a pendant made from a *real* butterfly wing, and it's simultaneously among the weirdest and and most beautiful things i own  Shocked i'm really thrilled that i've got some jewellery to match my favourite peacock-coloured dress, and girly stuff aside, it completely satisfies my fascination with taxidermy too   Wink

this was pretty much impossible to capture, so i hope Loukr managed to take some better photographs before she sent- it's a hanging garland made from 3 altered fabric butterflies, exactly the sort of thing i keep meaning to make myself when i have time and have better mastered the art of going around corners on sewing machines  Tongue Loukr said in her note that she thinks she went a little overboard with the glue gun, but i love all little the trinkets
she's attached  Smiley the butterflies are all decorated on both sides, but here are some pictures of my favourites-

if i had to pick a favourite out of all the items i received from Loukr, this would be it, although it's a really tough choice as you can see! this is a piece of artwork she made me named 'Modern Victoria'- the label says she'd love to actually own the dress one day, and i would too!

Wayward Loukr has spoiled me massively, so I feel really bad about only crafting the required points  Cry even so, I hope my package arrives safely today and that Loukr likes everything that I crafted. I had a great time researching and crafting and can't wait to see more of the gallery- thanks everyone, Loukr especially  Cheesy

I'm SO happy you liked everything annachronism!

Here's some more pictures!

First of all, the Cane Hill badge wasn't worn during the victorian times (introduced in the 50's I think), but I've got like 3 here, so figured I'd share one Cheesy according to our friend google, there's a lot more around now as someones made up another batch Tongue Cane Hill was once an incredibly large asylum in the UK (of course, built in Victorian times!), but now it's been reduced mainly to rubble Sad

The Latin at the bottom of the badge says Bringing Relief to Troubled minds

The flutterby garland

The butterfly wing necklace (you'll have to excuse my shoddy jewellery making, that was reconstruction to the max!

And the artwork Smiley

Again, I'm incredibly happy that you're soooo chuffed with the package I sent you! I was worrying that it wouldn't be upto scratch!! yey!

And ooooohhhhhh my goodness I picked up my package from the sorting office this afternoon.. OHHH MY.. I'm so excited to post pictures, I'll get them on here later on this evening so I can get some pictures! uuhhhhh annachronism, I absolutely LOVE YOU!

and i'm relieved that you loved your package, i was majorly anxious when i opened mine minutes after taking yours to the post office- that sense of 'oh no, now i really can't add/improve anything!' is horrible, lol!
