This picture was taken the day after it was done. I drew the design based on a few pictures in the "Gnomes" book and a photo of a mushroom. Tattoo done at Falling Moon Tattoo Studio in Moscow, Idaho.

(apologies for the link. I haven't posted 10 replies yet, so I'm not allowed to do pictures, apparently...)

I love this, is it based on the secret book of the gnomes?

Im planning my first crafty tattoo, I already have several but none that are crafty ones

I got my first tattoo on March 12th by Adam at Jason's Colorwheel Tattoo in West Reading, PA. It hurt like crazy but it was sooo worth it! I got it because my family has always been crafty. My mom used to sew my sister and me dresses all the time. The thread is purple in honor of my mom  Grin I explain the tattoo a certain way to people that don't know me personally. I normally say, "Its a symbol that through all the people I've met, I've had love stitched into every fiber of my being. I'm not done living yet, hence the needle on the side-Save it for later!" I <3 it so much!

Gorgeous Erin Smerin! It's simplistic and vivid all at the same time.  I really like the heart with the scissors through it and the pretty yellow rose above it. Smiley

NaomiPhoto I love the small needle and what it means to you. Wink Been thinking bout a tat for my foot, but I'm scared that will be the one that broke the camels back. None of my others were painful enough to remember slightly. I hear they are pretty back since the skin is closer to bone and my Tat artist says that the oils in the skin make it harder for ink to get soaked in unlike the fat in your arm or legs.  Undecided

@v3nu5 It hurt like crazy! I got all lightheaded and I ended up holding my breath without realizing it! I took a break and Adam did a great job getting it done. It does hurt A LOT (especially by the toes) and it took mine almost...3 weeks to heal. If you plan on getting one, make sure you're prepared for it to hurt. I'm just glad my first one was in one of the most painful places.  Tongue I'm already planning 3 more! I just need to save up! Cheesy
