I L.O.V.E. making journals and I am always searching for new ways to keep them interesting.

Often I like to work 'small' - especially the size of Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) - so I made a few journals for working in this size. They measure 2 5/8" x 3 1/2"

These particular journals were inspired by Talavera tiles - another one of my loves  Cheesy

Art Journals don't have to be a standard size - be creative in your journaling as well as in the size of your journals - changing things up opens up all kinds of creative possibilities!

I love tiny anything! The smallest journal I ever got was from crafster member devilninny--it was the size of a matchbox but filled with paper! So cute!

Yours are embellished so nicely!  What type of binding did you use?  I love that it is a bright color!

Oh! Matchbox size! Interesting!!

I did a Coptic binding because I love how it lies FLAT when working in it and I used waxed linen thread. The paper is 140# index stock, my favorite for art journaling on because it stands up to all my paint, collage, etc., without a wrinkle! I also used the index stock to create my covers (which are canvas board to prevent any warping).

Thanks for your positive feedback! It motivates and inspires me!

I'm afflicted with everything-tiny-is-cute-itis too, and I just love these!
Especially the last one, with the leaves and swirls- I really like the style of your artwork on the covers too.
Do you find that the size makes it harder to work with at all?

To ALL the kind people who've commented - thanks SO much for taking the time to do so - your support, enthusiasm and compliments keep me inspired!  Grin

I find that making the TINY journals is even easier than what we would consider to be 'normal' size journals (I usually work no larger than 5"x7") - and it certainly takes less time to do the binding!

As many of you know - making journals can become an addiction  Wink I have made several and when time allows I will post more pics on here!
