after crocheting for 16 years, i finally got around to trying an amigurumi.  i used Angry Angel's pattern, and i think it turned out pretty well for a first attempt, though she's a bit lopsided.

since her wings are rather floppy and insist on curling up at the edges, she likes to ride around on my head instead of fly sometimes.

she still needs a name.  any suggestions?

She's very awesome. I can't wait to see her in person! Smiley I bet it would be cool to put a pipe cleaner or some kind of wire in her tail to make it curl and bend certain ways.
Good job on your first try! It's a whole lot better than my first try! Tongue

Oh yeah, I like her color a lot.

Hey! Have you tried blocking her wings? I don't know if that works as well for crochet as it does for knitting (I'm a knitter) but it can really help with curling edges, and it might be worth a shot!

Having made three of these dragons, I must say that I've never had the wings curl on me. I've always used acrylic yarn, did you use wool? Blocking works better with wool - dampen it and then pin it out on something flat and let it dry (obviously this is easier before you've attached the wing!).
