I lurve all of the colors!  I have lots of wool scraps from all of the knitting...just taught myself to crochet specifically so I could make a granny square afghan like yours.  =)

I've avoided acrylic yarn forever because...well...I am sort of a yarn snob *ducking*.  But you all are saying Vanna's yarn is cool...so I might pick some up on the way home tonight to start a blankie and see how it goes.  Since crocheting seems to be like a big yarn vaccuum it would probably get ridiculously expensive doing a huge afghan in wool.

Update:  our local bargain store had a huge sale of large skeins of Vanna White yarn --7 oz skeins for $2.99.  My best friend and I bought tons as we are making lapghans for the nursing home...since they will be washed a lot, the acrylic yarn is perfect and practical...each afghan will cost about $12 to make.  Thanks for posting your beautiful afghan and showing off a yarn that I would probably not even looked at!

There were not tons of color choices, but I think that any leftovers will be used to make this pattern with adding a few colors at regular/sale prices from Joann's!
