LOL! None of my blocks complement each other, really Wink And, that red looks like it glows against the grey- neat!

Gspinn - I love the contrast both in your blocks and between your blocks. I think the end product is going to look great! Your stitches look so even and your blocks are not the least bit wonky - I'm envious....

I hadn't realized how bright the red looked in the picture, you can't even really see the stitches because it is so bright in the picture LOL. Thanks for all the compliments, this is the first time I'm doing squares. I usually only make hats or amigurumi. I have only been crocheting for a little over a year.

The book was waiting for me when I got home Saturday night- and I love it!  I'm glad I found this crochetalong, cuz I'm not sure I would have ever picked the book up based on it's cover, but I'm so happy I got it.  Of course I busted out my yarn and made a square right away!  I would have more, but was feeling under the weather the past two days, so I'll have to catch up  Wink  I made this one primarily with the Caron Soft yarn- just picked up three random, somewhat complimentary colors- and I think it came out well. I didn't want too much white in the design- I worry about it eventually looking dingy from use.  The block came out as a perfect square- just doesn't look like it from the pic...

I bought the book because of the CALs for it, too. Of course, since I moved I haven't seen it (I really really *really* should think about maybe unpacking...) which is why I haven't started participating in this... yet. Smiley

Thanks!  I love that yarn- it's so soft!!!!!  The brown has some rusty pink to it- so I figured it worked.  I'm still trying to decide if I want to use the same colors but in different order to do more of the square- or different colors entirely... hmmmm... And I have to try the bonus square as well!
