I'm bookmarking this so I can come back to it when I have time to sit and sew.  I need to stock up on some interfacing and snaps too.

I think it's genius how the sides have the snaps in them, I totally plan on doing that with all future bags I make.  I also love the tip about stiffening it without it being too thick too sew, that has been my biggest concern about trying to make a stiffer purse so I have been looking for one to buy.  After reading this, I am excited to try to make one instead.

Also, on a side note - three of my sisters and my DD were looking at this post with me.  All of us were totally impressed with the bag in general, but somewhere along the line, everyone said at some point or another, "The outside fabric is great, but the lining is my favorite!" lol.  To get all five of us to agree on something is pretty rare, so great fabric choices!

Am taking a crafting/posting hiatus and formally withdrawing from all the CAL's I was in.  Need time to recharge and rewire.  But, I am still lurking and loving you guys like crazy, keep posting the amazing projects!!!  You all rock!

I love your bag. I have a hobo bag made of this material that I use as a diaper bag. I always get compliments!

This is beautiful! I might have to go out of my comfort zone of simple projects and try something like this. Smiley

My favourite part of this bag is the expandable snaps on the sides. That's a nice detail.

Okay, as soon as I tidy up my craft room, I am SO having an attempt at this bag! It's perfect for so many different things! Crafting, regular purse use, diaper bag... I want one. Well, I will probably make a few once I figure it out, and I'm sure it'll be on the Christmas/birthday list for family! Smiley VERY well done on yours Smiley *clicky clicky this rocks!*
