I am in and very happy to see some familiar faces from the one-and-only swap I've entered thus far--it's like meeting old friends online. Kiss
Another reason I'm in is to help me organize myself and also to help me learn to be more computer literate.  I have to learn to post these things myself. Embarrassed
Also, it's a great way to stay connected to my talented daughter. Smiley
And C (ha-ha), I love being connected to all of you talented artist/creator/craftsters. Cheesy
So here goes the first part of my list--not necessarily to be completed in order (I'm actually not home at the moment; am posting from my sister's computer.  But I am still busy knitting and sewing when time allows).
1.  organize craft room  (I wish I'd taken "before" pictures of my yarn mess)
2.  sister's "hoody-scarf"
3.  felted fruits and vegetables for O
4.  purse made from felted thrift-store sweaters
5.  finish Jake's "man-bag"
6.  finish my chunky vest (could do it in one day if I'd only do it.  Love to knit; hate to   sew pieces together, but must admit I'm learning to love it)
7.  altered puzzles for craft room decor (can't wait for altered puzzle swap #3--have  burning ideas)
8.  beaded handles/straps/embellisments for felted purses (must learn to use new beading loom)
9.  knitted asymetrical sweater for O
10. knitted cupcakes for O
11. design and knit awesome, incredible, custom chullo for self to wear camping
12. pink afghan for best friend's grand-daughter
13. scarf with Noni yarn for Jody
14. scarf with Noni yarn for Meghan
15. scarf with Noni yarn for Katie
16. black-and-white baby blanket for April
17. finish owl-cable wrist-warmers for bunnyface
18. finish owl-cable wrist-warmers for A
19. knit felted bag (and hopefully keep track of what I've done so I can do it again)
20. O's apron for her kitchen
Oh, my goodness--is that only 20?  Seems like that'll keep me busy forever.  But I am rarin' to go.  And I'm off to work on the hoody-scarf (see #2).  I am not much of a communicator, I'm warning you all in advance.  I will check in once a week or so.  Please know that I am in awe of everyone's skill and beautiful projects--and also in awe of all the communication back and forth on this thread (alwaysinmyroom never fails to impress me with her fantastic feedback to every post). I somehow cannot keep up with it all.  But it all gets read and stored up in my old-fashioned brain.
Happy 2010 to everyone.  The knitting needles beckon.

welcome friend! Smiley

uh, why do you think my user name is "alwaysinmyroom" Wink

seriously, I work in the computer field so I am on all day and inbetween customers, calls, taxes, etc., I just jump in and out--multi-task!  I am a salaried employee so as long as I work my 50 hours a week or more, it is good!
Plus, it is a great stress relief and keeps me energized all day!

I love the members, the mods, and I feel so much joy in seeing everyone's creations...it is life affirming!

Can't wait to see you cross off items off your awesome list!

So I have been going through my fabric and have come up with 40 projects that use just what I have in my stash, without even having to go to the store for extras at all. I am so glad that I am doing this and the destash-a-long.

Now the trick, do only those projects and not go buy any extras.

My next thing that I'm going to do other than swap stuff is make my dad a platapus. He thinks it's funny to talk about platapus' and I'm going to surprise him. Hopefully he'll shut up. But when I finish I'm gonna show you guys first. Cheesy

Also gonna make him 2 notre dame appliqued fleece pillows. He keeps saying "OH THANK YOU" and grabbing Josh's (My bf, but from now on, I will call him Josh.) (And no, name is not changed.) hearthstone pillow. So there. Tongue He'll have no excuse.

I made progress tonight!

1.   Blanket for gram
2.   Tea Wallets for me, Ryan's Mom, Ryan, Aunt Val (1 finished + 1 practice)
3.   Felted wool hat (knit OR crochet)
4.   Ryans scarf
5.   Hat to match scarf
6.   Scarf to match purple crochet hat
7.   Snowflake ornaments/garland[/b
8.   KNIT SOCKS
9.   Bookmark for swap
10.   Ryan and my letter shirts for AΦΩ

tomorrow after ice sating with my little cousins, I will probably make more tea wallets, they are so easy once you get a method down (and your iron doesn't turn itself off without you knowing) already own the fabrics, so I don't need to make a craft run, yay!
though, I went to michael's today with my gift card and made sure that my purchase didn't go over $25 since i thought that was the amount, then the cashier told me the balance was about $13! yay for more crafty money Cheesy

Hi Raechel,
Congrats on being a Craft-a-holic!
That's quite a list you have. You said it was only 20, but its a huge list when you consider 25 pieces of art, 10 bustle skirts, 50 thrifty recons, and crochet 50 things, in addition to everything else you listed! You must be younger and faster than me  Grin

I for one will be cheering you on. I love looking at everyone's lists. And its even more fun when things get crossed off and pictures posted! I have several things in progress and may be able to check and cross some things off by the end of the weekend. yay
