My current WIP is legwarmers as well.  Yes, they are back!  These are for my dd and I started them about a year ago when I saw this knitalong:

I have finally picked them back up so hopefully she'll be able to wear them this winter! I had one already done...I hope she hasn't gotten too tall for them  Tongue

Looking for a vintage magazine (1974 - 1978) that has a fabric nativity set w/ people and animals. An example: http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=440861&ppuser=143144.

1 down 49 to go!

Swiffer sock! Found the pattern on Ravelry. It was really quick and satisfying!

This year I decided i was going to use everything in my stash first (no, scraps don't count but they aren't excluded either) so first i needed a board to hold my ideas next to my sewing table so from an old frame in the attic, a fat quarter from a swap, some batting on hand and scraps of ribbon bought in a $1 scrap bag I made this:

Next, I had an old pillow that my dogs ripped the cover on so from a scrap bought in the red tag bargain bin of joanns I made this cover.  The piece was the perfect size exactly.  Not one bit of cutting necessary.  and had been sitting in my stash for a couple of years and the colors matched the memory board.  double win

Then I ran across a simple pattern using oil cloth to make zippered bags and I had some odd shapes of it laying around from when i recovered the patio chairs with it and a bag full of unused zippers dying to be used

Now its snowing without any signs of stopping so I used my stash of flannels scraps from making pjs for me and everyone else and decided to make myself a scrappy blanket and then i remembered that i had a piece of velvet with hearts embossed on it that would work for the back.  $1.99 at Zincs and only had to cut 2 inches off of 2 sides and it fit perfect.  just seems like it was meant to be

Supermedic, that is a great idea on the idea board. i was trying to come up with some options today on how to make one wondering should i use cork or batting...

i used cardboard backing on pic frame and batting so use can still use thumb tacs if you want to.  there are small pins holding down ribbon and the stub thru well.  I also thumb tacked something to it but it was to heavy and tilted the frame lol.

I folded my first ever origami stars for my Christmas chain today. I had no idea the part where you make them "pop" into 3D would be so hard on the finger tips! I want to make a chain to wrap around my tree next year, hope my fingers toughen up soon I have a LOT of stars to go!  Cheesy
