All these projects are GREAT! I really love that coffee mug pincushion! And I adore that grey skirt! (Although you'd NEVER see MY butt in one of those). I love ruffles, but it looks like a straight skirt... I do NOT look good in straight skirts. O.o Ever. I finished my first project yesterday!! But I'm not telling what it is till I get pics up... which may take a few, because I'm not completely sure where my camera is.

and be sure to give us your crane count!!  I come here to see how you are doing on that!

My mom made 50 cranes out of dollar bills for me on my 50th birthday...it was awesome because it came in a fairly large box---I can't even envision 1000 of them!!  You go ariethine!

Smiley Thanks a lot for the support Alwaysinmyroom! I'm definitely gonna need it. :3  I numbered each crane so I hope that I can figure out how many I've done easily.. >> So long as I find the last crane that I made anyways!!  Cheesy

i feel like im surrounded by over achievers, its the 5th of the month and i havent even finished one project,  - i'm taking small comfort in the fact that i currently have three projects on the go, sigh

3 WIPS is HUGE, nirauan! I don't know about anyone else, but with my busy lifestyle, I have to strike while the iron is hot, so to speak. For example, on January 1 my brother took my daughter to visit our folks for 12 hours. 12 HOURS!!! What does one do for 12 hours when they are sick and their kid is gone? Well, I tried to relax on the couch, but that lasted all of, about 3 minutes. I finished 3 projects (and managed to work 4 hours) that day! My advice is to do something crafty, anything, every day. Gluing some stuff together counts, cutting fabric counts, folding a piece of paper counts. It doesn't matter WHAT you do, so long as you do something to keep the projects moving and the creative juices flowing.

and be sure to give us your crane count!!  I come here to see how you are doing on that!

What a great idea! Now I'm trying to think of someone who has a good mile-stone birthday to do something like that. With my budget, I'm gonna have to find a 5 year old! LOL

Wow. That Birthday crane idea IS awesome! When I first saw that ariethine was making 1000 cranes I thought it would be cool to learn how to do oragami but didnt know what to use it for. I really would like to try this as a project maybe for my sisters birthday. Totally going on my list! how fun.

For anyone who is interested in making origami from paper money, go to this website.

http://members.cox.net/crandall11/money/

There are step by step instructions for folding money into some interesting things.  I've made the boot, bowtie, butterfly, ring and shirt.

There are also some good links to follow.
