Oooo I want to try beer soap too. Maybe I will add that after my attempt at cold compress soap. I need to find lye first though.

I have thought of about 10 more thngs I want to do but I don't want to get too ambitious haha

What will you do to recycle them the next year? Make confetti out of them?? And then suck them all up in a clean vaccum, and pulp them all down to make them paper for the year after??  Cheesy  You know... I was just playin with you, and then I realized that it would probably work!!

That really is a good idea for the cards though! Smiley

Everyone's lists look really good! A lot of people have already joined, and it's not even January first though. I think it would be awesome to almost finish something, and then finish the VERY last piece RIGHT as the new year comes!  Cheesy Then you'll remember that as your first... PARTIAL project of the year anyways. But you can just cheat and say it is!  Wink I won't tell... hehe

Ooh, I'll join! I loved doing this in 2009, it really kept me motivated.

I haven't got a list of prospective crafts for 2010 yet, as I am still recovering from my Christmas Craftapalooza, but I've more ideas floating around in my head than I know what to do with so I'm sure I'll be back soon with the beginnings of a list.

Wow, ya'll are super-ambitious!
I didn't think about this as I was making my teensy, nonspecific list, but I have resolved to do all crafting in the new year with at least 75% stash. It will be hard (so many pretty faaabriiics- and paaapeeer!), but I really have to cut down on my stash and my spending!

Me too. For my thousand cranes, I am going to be looking at EVERY little scrap of paper I have and can find. I'm thinking about taking the little scraps of paper that restaurants use to roll their napkins around the silverware since I just crumple them up anyways.
Ah well. I'm off to write my list out on paper!!

Sad  Quick story, now that I'm done writing my list on paper. So I went down to the little shops in my area to go job hunting. I went into a store that had handspun yarns and things knitted up with them. (Not saying the store name, in case anyone knows it.) And I was thinking of just ASKING if they hired, or took commissions. When I asked if they hired, she said no, they do it all themselves, and when I asked if they showed other people's work, she was extremely bitchy about how she "didn't want any competition, so it was just theirs and a couple other peoples' crafts. (I'm assuming some of her friends.) And it was just completely rude the way she was pointed about it, and how her attitude got when I said I crocheted. I was actually contemplating buying some yarn from the store... but... that... wow... just completely changed my mind. I love handspun, and I've never had any... but I wasn't going to then either.

So what I'm trying to say here is that I might have to change one of my challenges to myself (make and sell 10 crafts). But maybe I can network?? Who knows. My mom and grandmother should have a couple friends between the two of them. Sorry for the rant everybody... T.T I guess it's just a reality check that all crafters aren't sweet like our own on craftster. ...and personally I hope that lady isn't here.
