Have made the mohawk version before but forgot to take pics before gifting them. So easy to do for little boys that I'm thinking of making up 4-5 just to have on hand for last minute gifts.

Take a piece of feather boa and just whipstitch it to one of those $1 stocking caps (I sew it to the manufacturer's seam down the middle.) Tada! Takes less than 5 minutes! (But beware that you'll have little feathers floating around for the next week or so!  Smiley   )

For the cat ears I just cut ear shapes out of black and white felt, did a blanket stitch to hold them together before sewing them into the manufacturer's horizontal seam (that I cut open). Took maybe 10-15 mins because I was talking to friends while working...  Wink

I'm sure other people have done similar items since these aren't exactly the most original ideas so if you came up with this concept first I'm more than willing to give credit. I just haven't seen any done exactly the same way I did.

I like the mohawk hat! If I didn't have waaaaaay too many hats I'd try this one myself.

I totally want to combine these ideas and make a pink mohawk kitty hat for my 2yo daughter.  You rock!  How easy!
