Ohhh, I wish I had thought of this when I was making sock monkeys for my cousins. The oldest is a HUGE Twilight fan, and this would've been perfect! Ah well, there's always her birthday.

I so agree about the knee socks. I had NO idea how much more work it would be using them (of course, I had never made a sock monkey before, so I was pretty clueless when picking out socks).

I totally agree with the problems with using knee and over the knee socks!  Have you tried making a sock monkey using baby socks?  It's way easier than you think and incredibly fast to do - they are also terribly cute lol.  Good job on the vampire though, I am totally ...um....borrowing (lol) your idea and making my own vampire monkey!

The ones for potential selling will most definitely be out of shorter socks! A woman in our town sells baby sock creatures, but not mini monkeys so I may well give that a try
