I finally finished this today. DH got a shiny new apple laptop and wanted something to keep it safe. I based it on a messenger bag. The outer is a green suede and the lining is a sort of foam thing with a cotton backing that we found in our local fabric shop. It was a nightmare to sew and wouldn't feed through my machine, so I had to hand sew it  Angry  He also wanted a toggle closure, which was new to me, but I think i just about managed it.

He's happy with it, although I don't like the way the laptop can be seen at the top corners.

I like it!  Regardless of the pain it took to make it, it turned out very nice!
