I can't help it, I'm so proud of this I have to share it!  It's for my sister for Christmas but I know she doesn't come on this forum, as its not really her thing, she does graphic design rather than crafty bits Smiley  but that made this print perfect for her!  I love it so much, not sure I would have the confidence to wear it as its pretty bold but I just know she is going to love it!

Great print no?  I had bought the pattern already as I really love the top and skirt pattern on it, my sister also commented on it when I got it and she really likes halter necks so I thought I would use it for her, its Simplicity 6900

Back view, I only had a small amount of the fabric so went for a plain black back but I think this works well and gives the front more impact.  Also it has elastic at the top which is why it looks a bit puckered in the photo.

Close up, I didn't try to match the pattern, due to the type of crazy pattern it is, I thought it looked better being random and didn't really need matching as its irregular anyway.

The only issue is that the straps are angled slightly oddly as they are positioned for shoulder straps in both views on the pattern, next time I will try and alter this slightly.
I had to try it on, just to see if it fit Wink its a little tight around the top on me but should fit her, really hope she likes it, and keep quiet everyone! Wink

Love it!! the fabric totally rocks. also, you could easily fix that issue with the straps if they are annoying. just have to foldthem under a little bit on the inner edge and sew them down discreetly

I have a yard of this fabric too! You are giving me some great ideas on what to make with it......I was racking my brain wondering how to use it. At first I thought a bag, but i think a top would be the better way to go.
You did a great job. Thanks for sharing. Smiley

That is the most amazing fabric!!! It looks really great with the black strip on top.
Where in the world did you get the fabric? My fabric stash won't be complete without it:)
