I'm posting this for my mom, because she made the most BEAUTIFUL Christmas village ever. All of the buildings were done in our ceramics class over a period of about one year. Most of the people and trees were also made by her (a few people were store bought). The board it stands on is about 6 ft long and 3 ft wide. The table skirt is held on with velcro so it stores a lot easier. All of the buildings light up and the lights are hard wired into the table. My dad helped with the wiring and also helped design the lay-out and to make the table.

Here is the whole thing:

And three panoramic shots:

And close-up of the detail on a few of the buildings.

Mom did the village a few years ago and the family all loves it... but I thought I'd post it here so I could show her what other people think of it. Smiley

You're right, it IS beautiful.  And wonderfully laid out!  Great thinking to have everything hardwired through the table, that's a great idea!

My family used to do a lot of ceramics painting, so I know how much work must have gone into it, she's done a great job, and the colors are fantastic!  Kudos to her!

That is amazing! It is so cool that she made the village herself.

This is truly amazing.  Such detail.  It must have taken forever to paint and assemble this entire village.  Nice work.
