I went in a Pinup competition on Friday night, and decided to make my little outfit!

Here's some photos I got my husband to take when we got home ((we left the show at 10.30pm, but had to drive to the otehr side of Brisbane to pick up our son from his Aunty + Uncle's - they were babysitting. It was 1.33am by the time I got to bed! HATE night roadworks))

((not a very flattering pose.lol))

It's a playsuit, with a halterneck a white contrast band and a white ribbon. On the butt is a loveheart trimmed in lots of lace!

It was supposed to be strapless, but when I was drafting the pattern, I completely forgot about taking out the 1.5cm gape dart, so when I put it all together the boobies were a tad too big and stuck out funny! So I had to quickly sew a ribbon to it to keep it on and in.

I made a matching hair bow and small bow ring ((which I gave to a gorgeous girl selling hair accessories when she gave me one of her wares because she thought I was cute!))

by the way, I didn't come anything! ahahhahaha.

I was supposed to be 4th, the 'judge's choice' but when the announced it they said "the girl in the shorts, Max California!" and looked at the girl in the denim shorts!

So she walked up and accepted the prize and I just laughed and mouthed to the audience, "I'm Max"

she stood beside me and was very embarassed and tried giving me the prize, but I knew she was embarassed. The prize wa pasties. I knew I could make my own if I wanted to, so I just said to her, "No hun, it's ok. I've got a husband and baby, I'm not going to be using them!"

poor girl, lol. Anyway, I got some pasties anyway when i got off the stage! Hurrah!

that's me with my arms up trying to get attention. lol. No it didn't work.

The girl with the dark hair and the dress, next to me, is my friend Liz. She didn't get a place either! RIPPED OFF

This one was taken while I was prancing around posing and trying to fill up time! I had a blast, but I was SO NERVOUS

I really love it! I love the way the bust/halter part turned out so it was a good mistake to make! The fabric is so cute too, love the colour.  Cheesy

I'm interested in personal swaps, PM me!

Happy Crafting! Smiley

I love the playsuit. Very cute. Especially with the socks Wink Grin
And who was judging? Were they blind? Looking at the competition you stood out the most. You are definitely my winner.

I love the whole thing! 8D Did you work from a pattern? Or did you draft the whole thing yourself? If you used the pattern, which--cause I would love to make something similar.

Really freakin cute. Love the white trim around the top, helps "frame" the whole thing. You so should have won, you looked fab!

Lets all go to Jack Taylor's to celebrate!
