This is the 6th ornament in my Snowman series. I think I like this one the best. It's sculpted in paperclay and from bottom to top of wire is 5 1/2". It's very light and hangs beautiful. I think that's one of the things I like about paperclay, it's so light weight when dry but very hard and it takes paints beautifully.

Title is "Home for the holidays"

I love it! I especially love the expression on its face - it's kind of like the snowman had been caught doing something naughty and thinking 'uhoh!'

I've never tried paperclay but is it really, really light? I'm just wondering because it looks like your wire is holding up the snowman pretty well!

Yes, it's surprisingly light. People are often surprised when they pick up one of my doll sculptures as they are expecting them to be heavy.

The wire is very secure. I use styrofoam for my armature and the wire is attached to the center of that before I begin sculpting with the paperclay.

Oh the styrofoam is clever! I thought the whole thing was clay.

I'm so in love with snowmen and completely envious of your paperclay skills!
