I made this for my partner in the Dr. Seuss Swap. The house is a mini bird house that I got for a dollar at Michaels after Halloween. It's not exactly right for Dr. Seuss' lines and architecture, but I thought it was fun anyway.
It occurred to me that fish in his world would live inside a house, even if they lived in a tank too. I couldn't get good pictures of the furniture inside, but trust me, it's in there. Smiley I had the nails arranged better but I stuck my hand in the glue and moved them around.  Roll Eyes

I want a slide out the back of my house!!

I hope you like it!

I love it! It looks like you really poured your soul into it. Or channeled Dr. Seuss.

I LOVE this.  I am a huge Doctor Seuss fan, and I think this house is perfect.
I hit the this rocks button, I can't even begin to imagine how much time went into this, with all those details.

Do you have some kind of pattern or plan that you followed with this or did you free hand all of this.

Everything was freehand. I studied his drawings and lines for a while first, but I also didn't have the ability to make it just like his style in time. I just eyeballed everything until it looked good. I looked at pictures of his fish while I sculpted them.

Wow!
Have I got this right...  You've made this for a swap, so you will send it to someone else and they will send you somthing they have made.  All related to Dr. Seuss?
I would love to see the other persons face when they get this.  It will blow them away.   Makes me smile just thinking about the surprise that other person will have.   Then when they start exploring it and seeing all the tiny details.  A great experience for them.  Very cool

This is one of the coolest things I've ever seen! I love it! I wisted it! Smiley I was desperate to do the Seuss swap, but it coincided with the birth of my son so I had to skip it this time Sad But I stalked the gallery & came across this & it's just so cool! Awesome, awesome, awesome!
