Genius! Although I too wonder about the door, as I live with 3 cats who can't be trusted on their own without closed doors surrounding them. If nothing else, it makes a very interesting object decorative though

ETA to change the word 'boring' which I have no recollection of ever typing! Undecided

Now here's a toilet paper cozy that's truly useful!  Great work!

I'm lucky that mine only shredded the roll twice when she was a kitten and now that she's 17 she is satisfied to just hate the empty roll.  Talk about a handy, cheap and environmentally-friendly cat toy.

Thanks for all the great comments everyone!  Grin

In terms of just closing the door, we've got the original 1920's doors throughout the house, if we close any of them, the cats will both scratch their way through them Sad

I wonder if it would be dog-proof, too? My mom's retriever loves to steal my toilet paper and shread it. She can open the bathroom door and get the roll off the holder. But this has inspired me to try to think of a crafty solution!

I love this! We have a seven month old kitten who LOVES anything paper (she sits on top of the printer to watch the sheets shoot out). We had to hide the TP and tissues in the medicine cabinet, which as you can imagine was a pain. But we just recently tried to flip the roll so she couldn't unravel it by rolling it to the floor (does that make sense?) and it seems to have worked. Now if only I  can figure out a way to make her stop shredding my curtains and climbing the mouldings of every door in the house...   Undecided

This is fantastic solution...

Great idea for a guest bathroom also..would keep the tissue from ever getting dusty...

Not to mention a good solution for a decor accent for anyone who has small/no storage available..

Love it!

p.s. apartment therapy site may fall in love with this one...
