Feather fascinators!! I love them!! I remember seeing them on Kenley Collins on Project Runway, and thinking “no way could I attempt something that cool.” Well, I did. And I’m really stoked with the outcomes! That’s why I love crafting, because you can surprise yourself (and infuriate yourself..) So enough of the waffle, here’s my creations:

So, No.1 attempt, with 2 different types of feathers. I made this for practice, then wore it out and got some nice compliments  Smiley

On my tod (excuse gross hair and lack of maquillage – I am having a meh day):

No.2, I made this along with a dress for my Aunty’s 60th birthday party. DO NOT ASK ABOUT THE DRESS (lol) I got ill and couldn’t finish it  Cry  however I bought a replacement to fit the fascinator, and it went down a storm! i cut a circle of cardboard, covered it with red lining, then covered that with black lace, to make the 'button'

On me (again, focus not on the face)

Hope you like them! Comments always welcome  Grin  oh and I glued on elastic with a piece of felt over to secure, here’s a pic of the back to demonstrate:

Beautiful! I to adored Kenleys fascinators. These are perfect because they can be worn with a great cocktail dress, or its an unexpected way to dress up a basic tee and jeans. I love stuff like that Grin I have seen some great ones on crafster lately and I must say...Off to the craft store!

Lets all go to Jack Taylor's to celebrate!

Oh man.  My hair's too slippery for the fascinator combs to stay in.  I never ever considered trying elastic bands.  You, m'am have just made my day. ^^
