Me: What do you want for Christmas?
BF: Will you make me something?
Me: Sure, what would you like?
BF: Anything you make.

Problem...I have no idea of any good, masculine ideas. He's a college athelete so he's not going to wear around anything tha even has the slightest feminine/ambiguous feel. Any ideas?

Be careful with glitter. It never goes away. Glitter is the herpes of craft supplies.

Crafting is in my blood! Just not in my geneology.

Sweatpants with college/team logos/sayings painted or appliqued on.  Easy and useable!
T shirts go in this same category.

(To The Tune of "The Llama Song")Here's a needle, there's a needle, and some yarn between the needles, cast on, knit, purl, always knitting, knitty, knitty, purl.

Proud new owner of a Baby Lock 400!  Any advice for the newbie? PM

I have the same problem. I find it hard for me to come up with stuff but easier for others, so let's give it a go.
So far I'm crocheting my bf a hat and making him a pillow and ironing on some cool design he likes (from a fav tv show, or football team, or whatever I come up with.) Something that shows you know what he likes and it's a plus if you get it right! lol. Think of something he would like to wear or something he needs, maybe not necessarily for outside of his room use. I hope that helped at least in some way Smiley

I post things like this in my blog too!

Maybe some manly jewelry... like items with hemp or suede..

Apparently this stuff is still in style because I saw it in the mall at American Eagle.

Is he into video games? Mine is and Mario themed keychains would be a hit with him. Basically favourite video game + manly keychains (because they're car related haha) is always a win.

the leather necklaces look hot on guys. It's usually a piece of leather or suede with one or two beads in the centre. It's almost like a choker too but make adjustable knots so he can take it off easily? I think i'm making one for mine. I love how they look on guys.

Leather with a glass focal bead.

Pietersite, Lapis Lazuli, bone, shell, Hematite, wood -- all make great beads for a single strand necklace, finish with a lobster claw clasp.

If you want to get creative, you could use bullets or bicycle chain for a real manly necklace.
