You can take one of these:


and easily make one of these in no time flat....


I don't have the patience or skill to sit and glue beads onto hairclips individually without making a huge mess, but for these I simply made two peyote stitch strips using E beads and some fireline and then used some trusty E6000 glue to attach the strips to the hairclip.  If you're unfamiliar with how to do peyote, a tutorial can be found right here:


Voila!  I used sort of iridescent 'carnival' colored E beads for this one.  They're kind of hard to photograph well.
