So i love these gloves/mittens; http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/3032826/0~2376779~6008000~6025531?mediumthumbnail=Y&origin=category&searchtype=&pbo=6025531&P=1 and would love to make them. they look pretty easy but does anyone have a pattern for the cable part? thanks

By no means am I any sort of expert, but here's what it looks like to me: Your basic horseshoe cable, but after the cross you switch the knits to purls and the purls to knits, then switch back at the next cross. Or something like that. There's a wonderful pattern for a horseshoe mitten on Ravelry - Bella's mittens, check the twilight fans group and you'll see dozens of finished projects. I knitted them myself and it was my first DPN and cable project, and they came out great! You might be able to tweak that cable to look like the one in the mitts you posted.

Looks like the cable is over 12 sts, the crossing looks like C6L, C6R and then on the next row you start working the center 6sts in reverse stockinette. Looks like the next cross is on the 6th row, C6R, C6L and resume knitting all the cable stitches. There's something funky going on around the wrist though, it looks like the did C6L, C6R and then again on the third row before doing the reverse stockinette thing and continuing as established previously.
