Hey there!

I've got a bad case of nostalgia.
I hear that it's fatal if not treated.

So what do I do to treat my nostalgia?

Make poke-hats!
You do remember Pokemon right?
Of course. How could you forget it?

Aww, Snorlax. How can you not love him?
I made this for me to wear last Halloween but didn't quite finish it in time. Boo.
He's made out of a regular forest green fleece, tan fleece, and felt. And polyfil. I just had to stuff his ear things.

This was the first poke-hat I made, it's Turtwig.
I made it for my boyfriend to wear last Halloween.
The hat is a regular olive green fleece and all the black, white, and brown extra bits are felt.
The yellow is flannel. D: I wish it wasn't, but I couldn't find yellow fleece in Walmart and didn't want to drive out to Joann's. It held up pretty decently until it tore a bit. I fixed it up temporarily but I do need to fix that. Lucky me, I have some yellow fleece now.
The twig on his head is polyfil'd and the leaves are those fake ones from the floral department. It was hard to keep the leaves from popping out sometimes until I added two itty bitty stitches from the leaves themselves right to the twig. Before that I had just stuck the stems into the twig. Now they stay where they belong.

Oh no.
Oh yes.
I made a Mudkip hat. I couldn't help it, really.
I didn't add a face to this one since I wanted to be a Mudkip, not wear one.
This is made of regular pretty blue fleece and orange felt. The cheeks are stuffed with polyfil.
The fin on the head had two layers of that thin foamy stuff. It does flop over, but not a lot. It's pretty stable actually.
The earflaps make it very very warm though.
I made this to wear at two anime conventions. (Or maybe just one, I can't quite remember, actually.)
I definitely wore it to Anime Boston where quite a few people recognized it.

This is definitely my favorite. I made it for my boyfriend to wear at an anime convention. (Or was it two...)
It's Weepinbell.
(I know Weepinbell wasn't the one who would eat James, but hush.)
Isn't it great?!
Regular yellow, pink and white fleece and green, brown, and black felt.
The leaves I folded a little so they would flop over, and the stem/stalk and the bump underneath are both stuffed.
As is the mouth, of course.
It really is my favorite. I know I'm boasting, but I did such a good job.
Okay, I'm done. Grin
...so awesome.

This is my most recent one.
It's Houndour and I made it for a buddy.
Cute, eh?
Anti pill black, orange, and white fleece. Oh yes, I got the fancy stuff now. Anti pill!
The skull and the snout are both stuffed.

It's strange though, I bite my nails/fingers/everything around there and it seems like this fleece is sticking/staining part of my thumb. Is this normal?

Anyways, I do have a Meowth hat and Magnemite hat that I have yet to photograph.
When I do, though, I'll be sure to put it up. Grin

Oh yeah! This are all entirely hand stitched. Like, with my fingers and all.
Well, except Mudkip. But the cheeks are hand sewn.

Thanks guys~!

You can never be too old for Pokemon.

Applesin - And god, Pokemon is such an awesome obsession. Although I've only ever beat Crystal. I tried recently playing Gold but I couldn't get past the Elite Four. Boo~

carXunderwater - I am thinking about it, to be honest. I'm just a little iffy about it, what with copyrights and all. But I see other pokehats on etsy and ebay so I'm figuring that since it can fall under a cosplay category and it'd be alright then. I did make Houndour as for someone who did pay me back for it. You can try looking on etsy for snorlax, and if I do end up deciding to sell them, I'll let you know. ;P

I so love these.

Hey, guess what? Nobody cares who would win in a crazy fantasy fist-fight between Anne Frank and Lizzie Borden.
