Here are pictures of a wand I just finished for Ostara.

Ostara is the Wiccan holiday that celebrates Spring, hence the butterfly & flower motifs. The wand is lilac, and the designs are woodburned (obviously).

I basically cut thee branch I wanted last Ostara, striped the bark, and let it dry for, oh, six months. I woodburned the designs in sometime in September, and oiled it (with lilac oil made from the Mother Tree's bloom's) at Samhain (Hallowe'en).

Comments are always appreciated!

Blessed be! This looks amazing, and the energy you've put into it is phenomenal.

Are you going to put anything else on it (feathers, crystals, leaves)?

"You listen to metal and knit?"
"Yea, so?"
"I don't know, just seems a little out of the ordinary"
"Who said I was ordinary?"

Nope, this is the finished product. I wanted the woodburning to be the central part of the design.  In my wands, I always have just one focal point, otherwise I find it looks too takey.
