We decided to do Where the Wild Things Are right after I saw previews for the movie. All 5 characters took about 1 month to make and all were made from scratch with my own designs (with the exception of Max, which was created from a pair of sweatpants and sweatshirt). The part that took the longest was the green scale legs, which were all individual cut felt pieces hand stitched to tall socks. We won first place for group costume on Halloween night at the venue we were at, however none of the photos turned out from that night. So, here are images of me in all the costumes.
