Swap name: Once You Pop Swap Round 11 - HOLIDAY EDITION!
Craftster member who is organizing this swap: bronzfrog
Sign-up date range: November 4-11, 2009 signups end at 6:00PM Central Time!
Date to send item by: December 7, 2009 (the day before Thanksgiving)

Limited to a certain number of people? (optional):no

Restricted to people who all live in the same country? NO
If so, which country?
Age requirement? 16

- Has successfully completed two swaps as a participant: YES
- Is not organizing more than three swaps right now: YES
- Will recruit a co-organizer or give all details to a Swap Moderator if this swap has more than 25 participants: YES

Swap Organizer will check each participant to make sure they meet these conditions:
- Has been a member for at least one month: YES
- Has posted at least 15 times: YES
- Has completed one swap successfully before signing up for multiple swaps at a time: YES
- Is not currently signed up for more than five swaps: YES

- Participant lives in the United States: YES
   - If yes, understands that Delivery Confirmation number is required for this swap: YES
   - If no, understands that a mailing receipt copy is required for this swap: YES

Details of swap:
Fill a Pringles can full of holiday goodies for your partner!!! The number of crafted items is endless, just be sure to fill 'er up all the way  Participants can craft several things for each other, including ornaments, gift tags, stockings, holiday-themed jewelry, pet gifts, candy etc. etc. etc. Non-holiday items are fine if OK with your partner. Please remember to decorate the outside of the can as well! Cans themselves can be taped up and mailed out as a single piece but I highly discourage it as they aren't very sturdy and the lids are prone to pop off even when securely taped. Participants can also go with the "mini can" option in which 3 of the small cans count as 1 regular sized can (this is great for themes).

PLEASE BUY YOUR CAN(S) AS SOON AS YOU ARE APPROVED FOR THIS SWAP. Eligible cans include the original cardboard cans and the smaller mini version of the cardboard can. No plastic cans please.

Be sure to thoroughly clean it. In the past rounds, participants have wiped out the emptied can with a damp paper towel then let the can sit for a few days uncovered with a spoonful of baking soda in it.

Participants can include store-bought items, but please be sure that you personally craft at least 75% of the goodies in your can!

Want to send more than one? I'm allowing participants to have up to 2 partners if they wish. This is only available to Craftster members who have already completed at least 2 swaps with POSITIVE feedback.

Everyone must post in the thread once a week.

As always, Delivery Confirmation #'s are required!

Boy do we have the pringles cans(hubby empties 2 can a week while on the road/trucker).....

If you need one to join PM me and we will see if we can get one mailed off to you. We have about 20 right now you can ship in them too.  You just have to wrap in brown paper, it is like the tube you pick up at office store.  Here is a sample.

I've been saving a pringles can for just this swap.  Too bad I can't join this round though.

I'm awesome. Smiley

I have vintage yarn that I would like to give to someone! Please send a message if you'd like to obtain it.  I have lots!

I have been dying to join a OYP swap, but I think it's highly unlikely I will have a spot open before the eleventh.  I haven't been maxed out on swaps in a very long time, but of course now that there is a swap I really want to join- I am. Sad day.  Cry

I really would love to this swap but I have a question before I jump. Smiley

Are we only filling the Pringles can with goodies? I looked through the most linked similar swap in the OP and I'm seeing flat rate boxes used with the can inside. Is that normal or is it only to better protect the decorated can?

You decorate the can and fill it with goodies.  I like to send mine a flat rate box because I know how much it is going to cost and it gets there quicker.  I have received cans that were wrapped in paper but they are less likely to get squished in a cardboard box.
