So I came up with this idea on the looong drive back from Burning Man (2,500 miles=lots of time to think).

These Smurfs and I danced in the street to the Fraggle Rock theme song.

That's me right before the Gogol Bordello show.

I wore it to Voodoo Fest durning the day, which was awesome! People kept coming up to me to pose for pictures; I was the unofficial mascot of a music/head shop called The Mushroom; at the Gogol Bordello show I really stood out and was easy to spot on the jumbotron, as well as by the band! Also I was interviewed for a spot on Fuse TV, which was pretty cool.

The bodysuit is silver sequins lined with nude spandex. I added silver rick-rack and some rhinestones for extra pizzazz. The hood is not attached to the suit.

The cap is paper mache! The white spot are cut out of milt cartons and actually cover little bowls, which eventually will have LEDs in them. For Halloween I put in glow sticks, so I really stood out at the festival and on Frenchman Street later that night.

In-progress shot

Of course, there had to be a utility belt. My friend came over and borrowed another bodysuit. My boyfriend bought our socks.

Here's a blurry photo of me on the way down to the Quarter! The glowing was really cool.

check it out on my website too http://madebyjulianne.com/?p=82

Shocked You are showing us this because you want us to run off and make our own mushrooms costumes, right? We'll be like your little fungus spore children, everywhere craftster reaches. Ooh, cool.
This is just too wonderful, I gotta say. And how amazing to run into not only Papa Smurf but Smurfette! That's trippy man...

Yeah, and Smurfette was like 6 months pregnant. Papa Smurf been busy. Now I need little spore children. Spore army! We could be the coolest theme camp at Burning Man!

A sequined bodysuit and glowing mushroom head would pretty much give you license to dance any way you like!  I can't wait to see this in motion...

As opposed to a revolver, I use a sharpened pencil to displace my brains. I gently squeeze the trigger and splatter the page with metaphor
