This year my boyfriend and I went as Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox. I made the Babe costume. That is my entry. (Paul Bunyan costume was mostly bought)
I had fun making it, enjoy!

I dyed all the pieces blue to match each other.
I used long underwear that I cut off at the crotch and wore upside down to make the thigh high attachments to the hooves. I hot glued them to the hooves on the sides and front.
The hooves and ears were made with foam paper.

The horns were made with Crayola air dry model magic. then painted and hot glued to a headband. The ears were foam paper folded and stapled to shape and hot glued to headband as well.
I added a cow bell and cow nose that I painted to match.

The bottom hooves I stapled to an old pair of wedge high heels. Then folded and bended them to shape. The hooves on my wrists were cut and then I added velcro to close..sorta like cuffs.
The tail was sewn from scrap fabric stuffed and finished with blue wig hair.

I think Babe was actually a boy but oh well! With a name like Babe it makes you wonder though!?!
