Swap name: November 2009 Birthday Swap
Craftster member who is organizing this swap: MareMare
Sign-up date range:  Nov 1- Nov 30
DATE TO SEND ITEMS BY:  2 weeks after you make a claim

Limited to a certain number of people?: No.
Restricted to people who all live in the same country? No.
You must be 16 years old to swap.

Swap Organizer himself/herself meets these conditions:
- Has fully read the Swap Info Guide: YES
- Has successfully completed two swaps as a participant: YES
- Is not organizing more than three swaps right now: YES
- Will recruit a co-organizer or give all details to a Swap Moderator if this swap has more than 25 participants: YES
- Is at least 18 years old: YES

Swap Organizer will check each participant to make sure they meet these conditions:
- Has been a member for at least one month: YES
- Has posted at least 15 times: YES
- Has completed one swap successfully before signing up for multiple swaps at a time: YES
- Is not currently signed up for more than five swaps: YES
- Does not have any negative feedback: YES
- Participant has agreed that he/she is at least 16 years old: YES
- Participant lives in the United States: YES/NO
   - If yes, understands that Delivery Confirmation number is required for this swap: YES
   - If no, understands that a mailing receipt copy is required for this swap: YES

Details of swap:  This swap was organized so everyone can get something crafty for their birthday!  Please read the guidelines carefully.

1. This swap is list style, like the Ongoing Wishlist Swap, however it is NOT chain style. You can choose any birthday craftsters list that is posted, rather than only being able to pick from the last one posted.

2. This is a medium item swap. A medium item is defined as a craft or recon, etc that takes you two hours to complete OR $20 worth of Store Bought Items. (If bought from a thrift store, estimate at what it would have cost new.) However you may also substitute a few small items for a medium.

3. If your birthday is in swap's current month, you can post your birthday wish list for this month. To do that, you must first PM me with the swap questionnaire filled out and wait for approval. While you're waiting, be sure to post in the discussion thread: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=326287.0

4. Once you have been approved, you may post your list of things that you would like to receive. This is the format for your lists: First post your location and a short bio of yourself, then a list of crafted items you would like, then craft supplies (if any) and lastly you can put a few extras that arent crafted, things like candy or tea. Remember, the more items on your list, the more likely you are to be chosen. The minimum of items to post is five.  Also including your wists is a good way for people to get the idea of your likes and style.  If you have any allergies please type them in red in your bio section.

5. Please post lists only in this thread. Discussion can be done here in the combined discussion/gallery thread: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=326287.0

 6. Every birthday participant must make at least one claim. You may have up to two claims at a time, unless you are an FOC or a first time swapper, and then you can claim again once your items are received (not when you mail out). New swappers may only have one outstanding claim; they may claim again after their first claim is received. FOC"s may have 3 outstanding claims at a time. Claims need to be made from the "crafted" and "craft supplies" sections of a person's list. The "extras" are just that--extra items you may want to throw in if you are feeling generous, but claims cannot be solely extras. Keep it crafty :-) (I'm asking that if you are sending mostly supplies, that you craft a little something for the bday babe.)

7. You may get claimed more than once, but your minimum amount to claim is one.  It is possible you may not get claimed at all. In this case you will not be provided a swap angel; angels are only if you get flaked on. However I do my best to make sure everyone gets claimed by keeping track of how many times each person is claimed. If possible try to pick someone who has been claimed 0 times versus someone who has been claimed 3 times.

8. If it is not your birthday but you would like to send a birthday present out you may do so.  Fill out the non-birthday swapper questionnaire and send it to me for approval.  Birthday swappers who receive a present from a non-birthday swapper must send a snail mail thank you card.  You will not receive feedback until I hear from the other swapper that they have received a thank you card.

 9. When you choose to fulfill a birthday wish, PM both the organizer AND the chosen craftster.  At that time, please request the address for where to send it.  After that you have 2 weeks to get the item out the door.

10. It is super important for everyone to keep good communication.  It is REQUIRED that you PM me when you've sent and of course, don't forget the DC#.  It is REQUIRED that when you receive, you PM me and publicly announce in the gallery (even if you don't have pictures).

11. When one of your items is chosen, please cross it out so that it is easier for others to see what has been chosen.
(It wouldn't hurt to thank the person at this time either.)

12. If you are sending late you must PM me by your send-out date.  If your send-out date comes and goes and you dont PM me, you will receive poor communication feedback.  It should not be my job to hunt you down and find out what is going on.

Please make sure to put November Birthday Swap or something equivalent in the subject line on all communications.  The most important thing to me is communication.  Please PM me when you send and receive, and please reply to my PM's to you in a timely manner.

Format for PM's:

Proper label:
"November Bday Swap" and either "Sign-up," "Claim," "Sent," "Received," or "Question"

When sending sent and received pm's include the send-by date, listed in the second post of the main thread, your user name, their user name and the item. Just copy and past the info from the second post if you want!:

Send by November 14

I'm a 34 year old redhead that lives in McPherson, KS with my hubby and 3 black cats(yes, I am a glutton for punishment!) My birthday is Nov. 28th.

I am allergic to corn, corn syrup, etc, though it won't kill, just give me a killer of a headache.

I love either bright, jewel or dark colors, especially purple, green, blue.  Do not like neons and pastels aren't my favorites either. Reds, oranges and yellows should probably be included in the non favs. If sending fiber you can include any color though!  Favorite scents are lilac, lavender, chocolate least favorites are any citrus or mint.  My main craft is knitting, but also (just learned) crochet, polymer clay, cross stitch, sewing stuffed animals, bags, freezer paper stenciling, and my new favorite, spinning yarn, but it seems like I never get around to making myself anything!

Interests are scifi and fantasy and folklore.  Firefly, Lord of the Rings, Dr. Who, Pern.  Western style dragons, fairies, elves, the fae, celtic and medieval designs. I love the steampunk look too!

Please no jewelry except for maybe a bracelet like what is in my wists or a glass pendant!

I would love an apron! Full size please, no cafe aprons! This will be for dyeing fiber, so please keep that in mind. Hopefully you could figure out something that will look better the more colors it has on it! But I still want something cute too! And maybe a tie at the neck so it is adjustable.

Small project bags for knitting.  About the size for socks, and I love pockets! Thanks StephanieGravatt!

A coffee cozy, like for throw away cups.

Coupon Organizer

Muslin Produce bags

scented candles/incense sticks

bath and body stuff: soap(not melt and pour), lip balm, body sugars, bath bombs, shampoo, conditioner...

A ren style corset would be beyond awesome! Or any ren clothes, actually.

Embroidered tea towels based on my likes, I've got patterns in my wist! Thanks PaleAngelLex!!

Some kind of needle felted critter like  a dragon, unicorn, fairy, etc, based on my interests

Any Amiguri  based on my likes

Polymer Clay sculpture based on my likes

Plushie based on my likes

Painted nesting dolls based on my likes

Tardis tissue box cozy like that in my wists

I live in Atlanta GA with my husband, 2 rabbits and 2 rats. I will be turning 23 on the 13th of November (It also happens to be a Friday Cheesy )

I love most colors, pastels, darks etc. Just stay away from neon and I will be happy! I adore kitschy fabric, animal scenes but also plain colors. I love hiking, geocaching and obviously crafting. Mainly sewing but starting to dabble in everything! I tried knitting and it didn't fit, hopefully will have better luck with crochet. I like cute things but not to much pink please!

I am a vegetarian so would prefer no leather.

Anything from my wists; http://wists.com/Craftsy

Hi!  I live in St. Paul, Minnesota, USA, with my husband and two boys.  My birthday is Nvember 11th.

I have one dog (jack russell) and two hamsters.

I make jewelry and mosaics.  I like to stencil, paint, and do paper crafts.  Actually, I dabble in many different crafts, but don't do any of them consistently. I have a limited attention span!  Get bored easily!  But, I love to learn new things!

What do I love besides my husband and kids?   I love long skirts, long coats, embellished jeans, pull-over hoodies, and boots!   I love white, black and red.  Not into pastels or frills!

My tastes vary from day-to-day.  Very eclectic.  One day I'm extremely funky, the next very elegant.  Never know... So, wish list changes, ALOT!  But my wist gives you a pretty good idea of my varied likes.  I keep them well updated.

MY WIST LIST -- http://www.wists.com/bkrenning4

Happy BDay peeps! And greetings to rest of you Cheesy
I am of undisclosed age, celebrating on the 7th and I live in Finland. Huge fan of Mid-Century modern style and Edward Cullen, Eric from True Blood, Madonna and chocolate. Slightly embarrassed of few of the aforementioned but I leave it to your discretion Grin

Here is my Birthday wish list.

Slouchy, girly hat. Grey or black. Fluffy white one would do as well. Size large. Edit* I saw a scarf with waffle knit and thought that would look kind of cool.

A doily to frame. Any kind would do.
Amigurumi robin. I have one and would like to collect a whole flock of them.

Black high waisted skirt with wide hem. Waist 32 inches and hem length 35 inches.
Produce bags
Mid-century modern inspired pillow for my sofa

I cushion cover with a subversive line. Line is your pick. More sarcastic and rude, the better. It will go on my bed.
Set of fabric covered buttons with needlework on them. I wouldn't use them on anything but I'd like to have some in my button stash to discover over and over again.
A needlework surprise!

Other crafty things
Wall art. Something I can stretch myself onto the Ikea 50cmx50cm frame.
Felt needlebook.  Thank you Craftsy!
Baby food jar pincushion. Thank you second time Craftsy!
Typewriter pendant
Bird necklace. See my profile for what I mean.
Mini-scrapbook, inspired by stuff from Design Sponge.
Anything inspired or made with lomostyle photography.
A pinhole camera ready to take pics.
Madonna T-shirt
Notebooks, sketchbooks
A wisty surprise
Keep calm and carry on- poster

Buttons. Bright red and bright blue just because those colours are hard to find in Finland.
Scrapbook paper
Thrifted barkcloth curtains, which I have a few and use them for inspiration. Don't have the hear to cut them.
Printable Shrinky Dink sheets
Red glitter to cover my shoes with.
Wallpaper scraps.

My Wist

Thank you in advance for picking me!

  • A jewelery case like this by luckdragon

  • A keyboard wrist support like this. http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=27182201 (Again for the new office job - far too much typing) Can be in any fabric/colors you think I'd like.
  • Car organizer - with lots of pockets! Learning to drive and have a lovely new, but very cluttered car.
  • A screened or stenciled tee-shirt or hoodie. Any bird/tree theme would be cute, a teacup with "Make tea not war", Cherry Blossoms, dandelion heads, or jellyfish.
  • *BIG WISH* Re-fashioned blouse or shirt, i love this pleated blouse. http://mymamamadeit.blogspot.com/2009/06/blouse-refashion-tutorial.html

  • Jewelry findings in gunmetal, and aged brass, copper, or silver.
  • Anything from or inspired by my wist. take a look, if there is something you can make, please do!  http://www.wists.com/uluru - Thanks alwaysinmyroom!

I love grey, blue, green, and brown, berry shades, neutrals like beige, taupe, cream.  No neons or black please, and I'm not too keen on yellow or bright red.

Hello, I'll be 25 by the time I'm approved for this swap (Nov 5th). I live in Wisconsin, and am still in college. I do a lot of embroidery, but I also knit, crochet, and carve stamps. I like darker colors, but can find a use for almost any color. My favorites happen to be purple and blue. I love science fiction, and Aztec art. I like ravens, octopuses,  and owls. I hate floral patterns. I do like Asian style prints, clean lines, 1920's styles and a touch of punk. My shirt size is XL for women, and L for men.

My name is Nancy and my birthday is November 20.  I live with my husband, and teen age daughter.

Ive just recently started sewing and quilting.  I also enjoy bicycling and travel.  I have a desk job (web designer and programmer) and also have my own web design business.
I have a Quaker parrot and four parakeets, so any bird motif or theme is appreciated!!  I also love sci-fi, - Dr. Who, Fringe, Torchwood, Star Trek, BSG and just about any space travel ,inter dimensional travel  stories.
Favorite colors are muted or jewel tones;  green, blue, purple, tangerine.  The only color I don't care for is beige.
Nothing violent, political or religious please.  I'm allergic to smoke and cats so please no smoking cats!

Small pouches for cables, usb sticks, memory cards
Anything bird, sci-fi, robot,  or bicycle themed.
