Not quite ready to give up your tees? Well here in Minnesota, it can go from toasty to frosty in just a few days, and I needed something to use for those in between days before I was ready to abandon tees all together.  This was originally just a regular long sleeve tee.

I chopped off the bottom and used it to make the hood.

Cutting it up the middle also made it really easy to embroider.

With the triple moon design, I now have a shrug fit for a goddess!

P.S. - For those of you looking for more detail on the embroidery design, here's the original file, stitched on a different fabric. You can see the detail a bit better there. It's machine embroidered. I hope that helps!

This is such a cute idea and you did a really great job on it, but the last picture of the embroidery really blew me away!
The colors are perfect. I'd love to see a close up of your work.

even though I'm not a godess person I have to say your embriodery is awesome the colors compliment the cropped hoodie very well. I also love your shrug! So cute! and love the idea of using the bottom to make the hood. will have to see if I have any shirts I can do this to....

did you cut any special shape off the bottom, or did you just make it shorter and slice up the middle?

I really like the look of this and have been wanting to do it myself, but didn't want to kill any tshirts!

I would love to see your embroidery up close!

I love this.  The ribbon is a nice touch to a basic design.

That's a really cool, well-done piece. I really like the embroidery on the back, any chance of a closeup shot of those?

Stop being so damned positive. Staring at the sun only blinds some one. By only looking at the positive, you miss an entire beautiful world of shadows and colors. Don't be overly negative, be realistic. The world is so much more complex and beautiful that way.
