Every year my husband and I take our dog to a charity Halloween Pet Parade. Blitzkrieg usually wears his namesake Ramones bandanna or his doggie backpack because he's not into costumes. This year I decided to do something a little different. I'm a news junkie and decided to make Blitzkrieg a Balloon Boy costume!

I played around in Photobucket to make the costume stand out a little from the busy background.

The materials I used and gratuitous cute doggie photo.

I took the box apart and put it back together inside out so the writing wouldn't show. I tied it to Blitzkrieg's carrier with some yarn because I didn't have string. For the balloon, I covered a margarine tub with foil, wrapped more foil around the pillow packing, and added some yarn as ropes. My husband carried the balloon and I pulled Blitzkrieg in the carrier/box in the parade. Blitzkrieg was a good sport because he'd much rather walk than ride in his carrier.

It's a whole lotta wrong.  Grin

That is by far the best costume idea I have ever heard of! That is just too funny. Definitely beats the wiener dogs dressed up like hot dogs, and the other generic costumes!  Cheesy
