hi guys

was not too sure where to list this one, but considering i'm in australia that would be a start.
i've seen an awesome chick in the USA who makes these cupcake jewellery pieces using a "faux whipped cream", which dries hard and looks like whipped cream (plastic like)...

Any ideas where i could buy this stuff??

Are you talking about Tinycravings scented cupcake jewelry by Jeanine Haddad?
Because I think she makes hers from polymer, possibly with moulds. She says:
"All my jewelry is made from polymer clay and lightly glossed with a finishing glaze for shine and protection."
Seeing as an order can take up to 6 weeks it is possible she makes them by hand.
She also says she won't answer any questions about how to make them yourself - obviously! Roll Eyes I suppose it might be possible to get polymer clay to squeeze through a piping tube to get that "piped cream" look. Maybe.

Also this craftster (Dolly Mixx) uses silicone (maybe from a hardware shop in the grout & glue section? It comes in different colours including clear.) which might be easier. https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=299368.0
I would suggest you do a search for "cupcake" in the jewelry or polymer clay boards. Probably lots of hints there - maybe even a tutorial!

I live in Brisbane and I make fake sweets. For my fake whipped cream I use acrylic modelling paste, it's a paste that artists use to create texture. You can get it at most arts and crafts stores. It's white, comes in a tub and is usually a good enough consistency to be piped through a bag. There's more info at my blog, it's a huge page of info.

Most people use silicon caulk for whipped cream though, but I don't know how to use that. I prefer modelling paste Smiley. Hope it helped.
