Here is what we did for the daughter that liked dolphins.

1.  The walls were painted with a two roller texturing roller.  We just made wave motions, and didn't blend the colors like you would if you were creating textures.  We bought a dolphin border wallpaper to break up the waves.
2. The lights on the top of the wall are Christmas lights embedded in 1 x 4 wood with holes drilled in it.  We put connectors on the corners, and then ran them to a dimmer switch on the wall.  (Do NOT try this if you do not know electrical wiring - my husband is an electrician)
3.  The headboard is a cut 1/2 inch plywood, painted with acrylic paints, and then a coat of polyurethane. It attaches to the bed frame with bolts.
4.  The ceiling fan, we painted the blades, then glued wallpaper cut out dolphins to it, and gave it a coat of polyurethane.
5.  This is another view of the room.  Yes, that is the grim reaper.  It is our dressmaker form.  We added a Styrofoam wig head to complete the body.  We are fans of Terry Pratchett.

At night, with the ceiling blue christmas lights on, it feels like you should have a scuba pack on to go into the room as it truely feels like it is underwater.

You are, like, the coolest mom ever!!!  Can I move in?

And hoping for an early death you swam so far you lost your breath, and struggling in the ebb and flow I took your hand, but you let go...
And now the ocean fills your lungs, and now you've got what you had come for, resting peaceful as you sink to drown under a sea of strangers.

Wow, that is an awesome idea for waves! they look very real. And the christmas lights in the trim is a great idea.

HAH. Oh man. That grim reaper scared me. I didn't see what you'd written and I was like "why hasn't anyone commented on that.. tell me I'm not the only one to notice."

That's awesome.

Hey guys,
Sorry about all the old broken picture posts. I no longer have the files!

I just couldn't tell what it was, but that's pretty cool!  I have a 6' tall Jack Skellington in my den, so I can't say 'that's weird' at all...
I love your ideas!  My son has a football themed bedroom, but it's not nearly as snazzy as your two...but dang now I got tons of ideas!!! Thanks for posting!
