I started this on a whim the night before Michael died, and only just finished 2 weeks ago. It became more emotional (I've been a HUGE Michael fan for 10 years-I don't think I'll ever be over his death) than I ever would've wanted.  Cry
I had absolutely no idea what I was doing and I kept breaking my glass while I was cutting it, so it looks hella wonky and uneven. But my mum's glass grinder was calling my name and I couldn't say no. I knew how to solder from silversmithing classes I had taken, so I figured it was close enough to stained glass making that I wouldn't end up killing myself!
The background glass was a horrible choice. I went to the shop looking for pretty, and thought nothing of practicality. It was only after I had broken half of my sheet of glass that I realized it'd probably look better if I lined up the marbling.   Roll Eyes

But, for my first time, with pretty much no prior knowledge, not knowing what the hell I was doing, I think it turned out...decent (okay, and a bit embarrassing)  At least you can tell who it's meant to be!  Embarrassed

Maybe I'll take a class before I try my next one  Tongue

I thought you did a fantastic job! I like the background, it makes me think of motion and it goes great with the pose MJ's in.   Smiley

The background looks like the swirly background you get in old disco music videos:D I like it!

I think you did a great job!  I love the swirly glass.  I think it was a great choice. In fact, I've bought glass similiar to that use for the Beatles "Abbey Road" icon image.  Except mine is black instead of your wine colored.  It evokes motion and feeling.  Perfect for your memorial.

Seeing it done up like this is exactly how I pictured mine to look in my head!  Thanks for climbing in my head and pulling out the vision for me!

Great job you and very theraputic I'm sure!
