I have two patterns that I would like to make but am baffled with the patterns. I'm a beginner knitter, and I'm sure the patterns are simple, but seeing all that techno mumbo jumbo and these crazy stitches that are a mixture of other stitches just blows my mind. I would really appreciate some help. So far I haven't found really good stitch tuts, so if you know of any that would be extremely helpful as well.

So here are the two feared patterns:

Bobble Beret

Wave arm warmers

I appreciate any help you can offer"^.^"

Do you not know what the abbreviations mean, or how to make the sts? The glossary at knitting help is good, and there's videos for most of the terms - http://www.knittinghelp.com/videos/knitting-glossary

I can translate the patterns fine, but when it comes to actually creating the stitches, I just don't quite get it. Thank you so much for the link. I'm also going to get the Teach Yourself Visually Knitting book again from the library. The crochet version of that book was superbly useful when I was learning how to do that.

The link is fantastic! I learn best when I can watch a video on something versus just viewing pictures.
