I have a metal flamingo on my front porch during the summer. It's fall and Mr. Summer Flamingo is looking a little out of place. I did a little rooting around and found 2 scarecrow quilted door panels that I bought as never sewed (they were supposed to be Christmas gifts ages ago - oops!) I went through my stash and found just enough batting to use for the project. Add some buttons from my Grandmother's button box, some leftover felt and raffia and I came up with this:

I didn't want to hang my scarecrow up on a door like it was originally intended. I sewed some sticks to the back of the panel and attached him to my flamingo with wire and twist ties for fall.
