edit 2012 ------ the finished pics are below ish, about 5 posts Cheesy

hello all! this halloween i want to be the blue meanie from yellow submarine. i am REALLY excited. here are some pictures of him.

i want to make a puffy dress out of dark blue velour. think PUFFY coat style, but on a dress. i will wear a light blue long sleeve shirt under it because i don't feel like making the dress with sleeves. i think i will get some long acrylic nails and paint them baby blue.

i have a pair of boots that i can spray paint. 1 blue 1 purple! and red felt for the spurs. i want to get a pair of red leggings/opaque tights and paint the yellow and orange stripes on the sides.

im gonna make the floppy ears out of felt and wire and attach em to a headband. i have to get some black face paint for the eye mask.

i don't know if i want to go all out and paint myself blue.. i may just do the BRIGHT RED lipstick only. i'm not sure!

lastly, if i have time i might make a purse in the shape of the evil glove:

does anyone have any more ideas??

You are awesome. I can't wait to see this!
I vote for painting yourself blue, since it's only your face and hands. maybe you could even find matching gloves to avoid having to do your hands.

Oh man, that's pretty much the coolest thing ever. =) I think if you just did your eyes up with blue shadow and then used the same blue eye shadow for blush, you could avoid painting your whole face. Super cool, though! I'd love to see pictures when it's done!

I know this is ridiculously late, but was this costume ever completed? I still want a picture. =)

OOPS yeah i totally did! it came out pretty cool. i didn't use face paint. and had no time for the evil glove purse :/ but it was fun to wear anyway! i stuffed the dress with mostly plastic bags.

the boots got trashed too because i didn't prep them for paint, just sprayed them, and by the end of the night it all came off in big, stretchy sheets because they were vinyl.
