Nice job with the corset!  Wondering though...how did the sawblades work out?  Did you cover them before inserting them into the corset, or were they "toothless"?

Wonderful! You're going to be one of those essential crafters on craftster that everyone (including me) will make sure to check your profile for new stuff! Way to go!

Too awesome.  I love how you interpreted 'Cinderella.'   It looks amazing.

Wow, thanks all so much for the kind comments!

I drafted a very fitted bodice pattern (sleeves, collar, etc.) based on my measurements and instructions I got off the net, then free-hand drew and cut it across the top and bottom to get the shape I wanted. I've done a quick search and can't seem to find the site with the instructions I used, but I'll check if I still have them lying around somewhere. I printed them off but have since moved house, so they might have been binned!

The sawblades had teeth - I used masking tape to cover up the serrated side, then sewed covers out of some ribbon before I slipped them into the boning channels, just for a bit of extra padding. Nothing has poked through, and they really help stop the buckling and creasing around the waist. Plus, you have no idea how bad-ass you feel wearing something with sawblades sewn in.

Will do my best to find the site I used for this. Thanks again for looking, all Smiley
