ONE HAPPY MOMMA
« on: September 23, 2009 02:59:32 PM »

I decided to crochet a little baby duckie for my Hannah who adores ducks.  I think it is from the "quack.. quack" sounds I make when I read to her or sing about Old MacDonald.  This is from a simple pattern made by Lionbrand with a few extra rows added to the body.  I just used bright colors and worsted weight yarn with really tight stitches so she cannot pick out the stuffing.  Here is the link to the pattern: http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/80445AD.html?noImages=  I plan to make more for baby gifts with bells added to the inside for the rattling effect.

This is a cute duck!!  I love Lionbrand's site.  I made the frog for my 23-year old daughter!!  I bet your daughter will love him forever.

The ease and cuteness of the duck caught my eye.  Lionbrand's site is great for free patterns.  I'm thinking to try some other animals also.
