I made this journal for a coffee swap that I did a few weeks ago but I also wanted to show it here. This is the third Coptic stitch journal that I made before I finally figured it out. I watched a video on youtube about a million times before I finally had it down. I did not have any fancy book binding stuff so I cut 4 squares out of a cardboard box (2 for the inside and 2 for the front and back cover) Using patterned paper I wrapped each piece like a present and glued in place. I used my sewing machine to stitch something a little extra and also stitched around the edges of the cardboard to keep the front cover and insides together. I had a lot of fun and cant wait to make another. The only thing I would change on it is the way I punched the holes in the paper for the stitches. They did not line up just right after the book was together. Maybe my next one will be a little straighter. Smiley Using water color and a coffee cup I put coffee stains through out the book. i also put a bookmark and some envelopes to hold stuff in the back.

It looks gorgeous. I love the little pocket at the back, and putting coffee stains through it is a really cool idea.
